SKILFULLY DRIVEN

BUS AFTER COLLISION CAR PASSENGER INJURED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 13. After being in collision with a car on the Great South Road this morning a bus with more than 20 passengers was driven skilfully between a power pole and a building with only an inch to spare on each side. A woman passenger in the car, Mrs Alice May Addison, aged 62, of Mount Albert, suffered concussion and lacerations of the face. She was admitted to hospital and her condition is fair. Four passengers in the bus were treated for minor glass cuts. Complimented on his driving feat after the bus mounted the footpath following the accident, the bus driver, Mr David Adams, said: “I woudn’t like to try it again."
