STRUCK BY PROPELLER

INJURY TO INSTRUCTOR (PA.) HASTINGS, Dec. 12. The instructor of the Hawke’s Bay and East Coast Aero Club, Mr M. T. Vandepump, had six bones in his right hand broken while swinging the propeller of an aircraft at Bridge Pa aerodrome. , , ~ The engine backfired and the propeller reversed, catching the instructor’s hand. Pieces were knocked out of the propeller by the impact.
