COMET FORECAST BY AGED INDIAN
MELBOURNE, Dec. 12 Ahmar Gaga Singh, who claims to be 114 years old and who predicted the arrival of the comet a fortnight before it put in its appearance, says he knows these tilings “through a supernatural force,” Observatory officials confirm that he correctly predicted the date of the appearance of the cornet. He now says there will be seven sunspots on Christmas Day, followed by a wet season and floods next year. He claims to have predicted the comet in 1882, four months before it arrived. Gaga Singh says he came to Australia in 1852 and worked as a stevedore until he broke his hip two years ago. He enlisted in the First A.I.F. when over 80 and rose to the rank of ser-geant-major. He claims to have 197 stitches in his body from wounds he received in 18 wars.
