WIVES BALANCE BUDGET
SYDNEY, Nov. 20. Living costs in Hong Kong were so high that Englishmen had to send their wives to work in order to balance their budget, said travellers who arrived by the motor-ship Shansi. The British there were looking toward Australia to settle when they retired.
