DRIED FRUIT LOSSES Losses of dried fruits suffered in the mishap to the Margaret W last week have proved to be much less serious than was expected. . The vessel carried a small portion of raisins and a much larger quantity of prunes, from an American shipment, and at first it was believed that the whole consignment had suffered immersion, or at least damage by fumes. The raisins, comprising the contents of only one case, were condemned after inspection, but the prune portion of the consignment was found to he unharmed, and was certified by Health Department officers as safe and suitable for human consumption. . ■ ..
