KOREA EVACUATION
PROPOSAL BY RUSSIA (10.30 a.m.) SEOUL (Korea), Sept. 26. General Shtikov, chief Russian delegate to the Soviet-American Joint Commission, proposed today the simultaneous withdrawal of the American and Russian occupation troops from Korea at the beginning of 1948. Major-General A. Brown, chief American delegate to the commission, said he had no comment to make on the Russian proposal.
