MORE SHIPS ON WAY
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS? (1.30 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 4. Two more ships believed to be engaged in the illegal Jewish immigration traffic have entered the Mediterranean, says Reuter. They are the Northland, which left Bayonne after fitting out with bunks on August 28 and ns now steaming along the North African coast under observation, and the Paducah, which left Bayonne on August 8 and arrived at Varna, Bulgaria, on August 22. The ships’ movements suggest that attempts may be made to run Jews from South-Eeastern Europe.
