CABINET RESIGNS
HUNGARIAN DISPUTE SEQUEL TO ELECTIONS (10 a.m) BUDAPEST, Sept. 4. The Hungarian News Agency reports that the Government announced its resignation during the meeting of the Council of Ministers. Reuter’s correspondent in Budapest says the revolt in the Social Democrat Party over the alleged irregularities in the Hungarian elections came to a head with the resignations of the party’s president. M. Szakasits, and general secretary, M. Marosam. Two Ministers in the pre-election Cabinet. M. Istvan Ries, Minister of Justice, and M. Antal Ban Minister of Industry, took over the leadership of the Social Democratic Party after M. Szakasits and M. Marosam resigned. The resignations followed warm criticism from a section of the party which opposed M. Szakasits’ policy ol appeasement with the Communists.
