Diplomatic Privileges The diplomatic privileges (United Nations' Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation), order, 1947, which was Gazetted last night makes provision for officials of the organisation who may come to New Zealand in future to receive the usual fiscal exemptions and other generally recognised diplomatic privileges.—P.A. Injuries to Joiner. When a wooden disc disintegrated on a shaping machine at the joinery factory of Mr G H. Douglas, Gladstone road, shortly before midday yesterday, Mr A. T. Robinson, a joiner, 8 Herbert road, was struck by a piece ot wood and his left arm was broken in two places. Mr Robinson suffered other bruises and abrasions and after being medically treated at the factory was ,'dmitted to the Cook Hospital. It was learned this morning that he had had a fair night and was fairly comfortable Lost R.S.A. Badges "What becomes of the badges lost and replaced?” asked a member of the executive of the Gisborne Returned Services’ Association at a meeting held this week, when approval was given to a number of applications for badge replacements. Members generally expressed the conviction that some at least were found and worn without authority, and it was pointed out that any person other than a qualified returned serviceman or woman who exhibited the badge was liable to a stiff penalty. It was suggested that any member who had doubts as to the qualifications of a badge-wearer could make a quick check with the secretary, Mr. A. H. Miller and that the best protection for the RS.A. insignia was the annual change of coloured tags indicating the weaver's financial standing in the association, that now in usa bcin£ g ferfcftt red.... j
