THREAT TO INDIAN
SEVER NECK, BREAK TEETH
SINGAPORE, Aug. 12.
An Indian mandore (foreman) told the Johorbahru magistrate today that because he refused to join a rubber workers’ union or pay a fine, three Indian members of the union threatened to “sever his neck, break gold teeth,” or "take his moustache." The magistrate sentenced one unionist to a month’s imprisonment and fined the other two persons.
