HIT BY CAR ON PATH (P.A.)) AUCKLAND, Aug. 13. Two men were injured, one of them fatally, when they were struck by a motor car in the main street at Huntly yesterday afternoon. The victim was: — DEAD Mr. Cooper Awa, a Maori, aged 59, married. INJURED Mr. Peter Mitchell, a half-caste Maori, aged 37, single, whose condition is fairly serious The two men were on the footpath and were struck bv the car when it mounted the footpath WOMAN'S INJURIES FATAL (P.A.) TIMARU. Aug. 13. When a car driven by Mr. W. S. J. Bray, Middle Valley, Fairlie. collided head on yesterday afternoon with a truck owned bv Mr. F. J. Carter, and driven by his son, Mrs. Bray, received injuries from which she died in the Fairlie Hospital last evening. Mr. Bray was conveyed to Timaru Hospital suffering from concussion and other injuries. SEAMAN'S BODY FOUND (P.A.) NAPIER, Aug. 13. The body of Mr. Eric Wilson, aged 18. who fell overboard from the Pukeko on Saturday evening, was recovered at 3 p.m. yesterday on Westshore Beach, approximately a mile away from the point where the tragedy occurred. Mr. Wilson was a resident" of Mt. Albert, Auckland.
