GIFT OF £SOOO
CRIPPLED CHILDREN AUCKLANDER'S ACTION A gift of £SOOO for the benefit of patients in the Wilson Home for Crippled Children is to be made by Mrs. Bertha Wilson, Auckland. The purpose to which the money will be put will be determined later by mutual agreements between Mrs. Wilson and the Auckland Hospital Board, which controls the home. It is specified that it must provide benefits of a kind not likely to be provided for by Government grants or out of the board’s general expenditure. The offer was formally accepted at a meeting of the board on Monday night. The chairman, Mr. A. J. Moody, stated that the gift came from another member of the Wilson family which had been so generous to the Wilson Home. He recalled that Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Wilson had made a gift of the home. The board placed on record its appreciation of the gift.
