HEAVY RAIN IN N.S.W.

FIRST FOR TWO MONTHS SYDNEY, Aug. 11. Sydney during the week-end experienced the first appreciable rain since earlv in June. Falls up to one inch were recorded in various parts of New South Wales. The rain was general in the Riverina and Darling divisions. . The change, which is accompanied by cool though mild weather, is expected to ease the threat of deficiencies m milk and water supplies.
