VALUABLE FURS FOUND

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 12

A suspicion that a bale of squirrel furs had been stolen from the Blue Star Line motor ship Napier Star at. Auckland proved ill-founded when it was discovered intact on board the vessel on Sunday night. It had been stowed in one of the wings between decks, instead of under lock and key in a special compartment, and was under other cargo. The furs are valued in England at £865 and in New Zealand at over £IOOO. The suggestion that they had been stolen arose when the locker in which they should have been stowed was found to be empty.|
