ON THE MOVE

Mrs. W. D. Barker, Maungaorangi station, is the guest of Mrs. K. F. Hutchinson, Cheeseman road. Mrs. G. Law, Ngatapa, is the guest of Mrs. R. F. Baigent, Fox street. Mesdames C. La Roche and Newman, Napier, are the guests of Mrs. G. T. Simpson, Russell street, for the P.B. Ladies’ Golf Club's open championship this week. Mesdames J. C. Windle and T. Power, returned to Waipukurau yesterday following a holiday as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Kitchen, Cobden street. Mr. and Mrs. E. P, Widdowson and their son, Mr. D. Widdowson, Dickson street, left Gisborne yesterday for Palmerston North and later will visit Auckland.

Mrs. A. T. Cahill, Auckland, is visiting Gisborne as the guest of the Misses Rachel and Joy Wauchop, Fox street. Mrs J. O. Musgrave, president of the Gisborne branch of th Plunket Society, was re-elected to the Dominion council of the New Zealand Plunket Society at the provincial conference of the society in Hastings last week. A message of good wishes and admiration is to be sent to Dr. Helen Deem, medical advisor to the Plunket Society, who is visiting America, from the provincial conference which was held in Hastings last week, on the motion of Mrs. McClurg. Napier, seconded by Mrs. J. O. Musgrave, Gisborne.

Miss Marjorie Black, at one time headmistress of Archerfield Girls’ School. Dunedin, will return to Wellington in January, 1948, to take up the position of general secretary of the Y.W.C.A., with which organisation she has been working for several years.
