As a sequel to the retirement of the Neill Shield the executive received an offer from Mr. and Mrs. M. Varley to donate another sculling shield, to be competed for under the Neill Shield con ditions, and to Ue known as the Wayne Varlev Memorial Shield. The offer was accepted with keen satisfaction, and Mr. and Mrs. Varley were tendered the warm thanks of the association.
