BRITON TO ATTEND
BULGAR TREASON TRIAL SOFIA CHANGES MIND (N.Z.P. A.—Reuter—Copyright.) (10 a.m.) LONDON. Aug. 10. The Foreign Office announced in London that Bulgaria had now granted permission for a member of the British political mission in Sofia to attend the trial of Nikola Petkov, the Bulgarian Opposition leader, who is accused of having prepared an armed revolt and incited senior army officers to form an anti-Government military conspiracy. The Russian assistant chairman of the Allied Control Commission refused permission for an official British observer. Major A. L. Ungoed-Thomas. to attend.
