TRANSFERS ALLOWED Apart from formal applications regarding accrued thirds and fifths which are expendable by local bodies, the business of the Gisborne Land Board at its monthly meeting on Friday included three applications for temporary licenses are small areas and two applications from Crown tenants to transfer their tenancies to other parties. There were present Messrs. P T. Weeks. H. B. Bull. J. Boyle, and J. W. Gordon In the absence of the Crown iancis commissioner, Mr. Weeks was voted to the chair. Temporary licenses were granted to A. Apanui for five acres in Block XVI. Matakaoa survey district, at an annual rental of £1; to Ivan Botica, in respect of section 69, Ormond town, comprising li acres, rent free with a provision for maintenance of the section; and to the Waikohu County Council in respect of sections 1 to 6. Motu extension No. 1. of an area of lac. 3rd. 16pcr., at an annual rental of £l. The Waiapu County Council's claim for a further £195 19s 8d from accrued thirds was approved. Similar action was taken on applications -for accrued fifths lodged by the Wairoa County Council, £146 19s 4d, and the Waikohu County Council, £23 15s lid.
Consent was given to the transfer of two acres in Tiniroto village, of a capital value of £lO and rental of Bs. from W. A. Richardson to Robert King. A transfer of section 1. Block V, and section 1, Block XII. Waiau survey district. from G. M. Reynolds to Richard John Morris Reynolds and Peter Morris Reynolds, also was approved. The area was 80531 acres, of a capital value of £3020, the annual rental being £lsl.
