INJUNCTION SOUGHT

BOXING DISPUTE ACTION BY BROSNAN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 3. “The committee of the Hutt Valley Boxing Association passed a resolution to the effect that they are of the opinion that Broanan’s disloyalty in carrying confidential information to the Boxing Council as to the purses paid was contrary to the interests of the association and he should be expelled,” said Mr. R. E. Harding in the Supreme Court yesterday when presenting a motion to strike out the statement of claim by William Matthew Brosnan on the latter’s motion for an interim injunction to restrain the association from preventing him exercising (he rights and privileges of membership of the association. In his statement of claim plaintiff alleged that no full inquiry had been held by the association as required under the rulies, and the persons who had purported to resolve upon his expulsion were not a properly constituted committee of the association and were not competent to expel him; therefore, the purported expulsion was a nullity and inoperative. Mr. E. F. Rotlnvell is appearing for the plaintiff. The hearing was adjourned until today.
