DOMINION WOOL FOR GERMANY

WEAVING-PROCESS USE OF IDLE PLANT OUTPUT FOR BRITAIN (11.20 a.m.) LONDON, April 30. The International Wool Secretariat spokesman said that shipments of Dominion wool would shortly be sent from Britain to

Germany under a new processing scheme. The shipments would mark the first commercial entry of Empire wool into Germany since 1939. The new processing scheme permits British firms to use German wool machinery which is not required to provide clothing for Germans. “The wool will never enter German ownership but will remain the property of the British firms,” he said. “The amount of cloth to be woven in Germany runs into millions of yards.”
