STRIKE AUTHORISED
RENAULT MOTOR WORKS (9 a.m.) PARIS, April 30. Nearly all the 31,000 Renault automobile workers have been authorised to strike for higher pay, defying the leaders of the General Confederation of Labour (French T.U.C.) The strike is seen as an attempt by a minority to make political capital at the expense of the Communist majority in the confederation.
