DUNEDIN “SQUATTERS”
HILL HOUSE OCCUPIED LEGAL THREATS IGNORED (P.A.) DUNEDIN, April 30. Unmoved by the threat of “appropriate action” from the solicitors for the owner, squatters are still in residence in a house they occupied in a hill suburb on Monday night. It is understood that no action will be taken by the police, who have received no request to institute proceedings. The owner of the house is convalescing in the North Island after an illness, and her solicitors say she will require it for her own occupancy on her return.
