CAR OVERTURNED

TOLAGA BAY ACCIDENT DESTROYED BY FIRE When a car driven Dy Mr. E. Dever and owned by Mr. A. W. Dever. Tolaga Bay, struck three posts in .succession at a bend in the main highway two and a-half miles north of Tolaga Bay at midnight on Saturday the occupants were fortunate to escape uninjured. The car overturned and came to rest on the chassis, which prevented the vehicle rolling into the river. At the time of the accident Mr. Dever was driving a cousin and two friends to Mangatuna. Awakened by the sounding of a cor horn at 3 am nn Sunday Mr T. Dodds, who resides opposite the scene of the accident, noticed that the car had caught fire. The vehicle was completely destroyed.
