250,000-DOLLAR HAUL ‘ MASKED MEN’S RAID CARETAKER GAGGED (11 a.m.) HORONTO, April 25. Three armed and masked men robbed the Royal Bank of Canada of an estimated 250,000 dollars late last night. The bandits entered the bank’s branch Toronto premises about 9.15 p.m, gagged the caretaker, his wife and daughter, and also a visitor who calied on the caretaker’s family about 10.30 p.m. Then, while one 'robber guarded the caretaker, the others snatched his kays, and entered the safe deposit boxes. It was not until about,, three hours after the bandits got away that the caretaker’s wife managed to free herself. Consequently the police were not informed until early this morning.
