BLACKCAP ECHO QUALITY* was purchased for 000 guineas at the 1936 Wayland Hopley Importation Sale. He was the 1938 Royal Show Champion and a consistent Waikato Champion sire since then. His progeny have been prize winners including a Waikato Champion bull. CRAFTSMAN OF GWAVAS was the top priced bull at the 1943 Gwavas Dispersal Sale.
