STRIKING A BALANCE (11 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 23. “Britain to-day is engaged in a very great experiment trying to strike a balance between classes and interests, and when that balance is achieved other countries will look to Britain as they did in the past,” said the British Ambassador, Lord Inverchapel, in a speech at Louisville, Kentucky. “Do not for a moment imagine that we in Britain are collapsing economically.” he added. “We have balanced our Budget and in a few years shall stand before the world erect, vigorous, resilient, and. perhaps, even elegant.”
