DEATH OF LINESMAN

FALL FROM POWER POLE (P.A.) WANGANUI, April 24. Injuries received apparently when lie fell from a 30ft. electric power pole in Milne street. Hunterville, yesterday, caused the death of a married man. He was: Mr. John Brcnnand, line foreman, of Ross street, Marton, an employee of the Wanganui-Rangitikei ElectricPower Board. Mr. Brennand was working on the pole and apparently was making adjustments to his safety belt when he was seen to fall. It was thought at first that lie had been electrocuted, but the power was off at the time.
