ALL BLACK’S BIG TOUR SOUTH AFRICAN EFFORTS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 24. Further information from South Africa received at the meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union's council to-day made it clear that the shipping difficulties in connection with the proposed All Black tour to South Africa in 1943 had not yet been surmounted, although the South African Union was still working on .the matter. It suggested leaving the final decision until .the beginning of June. RUGBY FIXTURES (P.A.) WELLINGTON. April 24 The New Zealand Rugby Union council decided yesterday to recommend to the annual meeting to-day that the union should proceed with 'the usual interprovincial fixtures to the end of the season, subject to the proviso that if the tour of South Africa eventuates any matches on or after September 20 which clash with the trials will be cancelled. A decision regarding the African tour will be reached no.t later .than the end of June and any trials required will be arranged by the incoming council. The council decided that if there are no trials tine North v. South match be played in Invercargill on October 4. In the event of the trials, the match will will be on October 4, the venue to be fixed by the incoming council.
