National Savings Progress
Further good progress in .national savings was made last week when 317 places throughout the Dominion attained their weekly quotas. All the principal centres were successful, and in each of the 20 postal districts the full district quotas for the week were obtained. A recent highlight in the development of the movement, was the passing of the 500,000 mark in the number of accounts opened since the inception of the national savings scheme in October, 1940.
