JOINT DEPARTMENT
LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 25. Following the recent announcement by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr. A, McLagan, effect has now been given to the decision to amalgamate the Labour Department and the National Employment Service by the appointment of Mr. H. L. Boekctt to the joint position of Secretary of Labour and Director of Employment. As permanent head of the joint department, Mr. Boekett will have associated with him as divisional directors, Mr. E. B. Taylor, Labour, and Mr. H. Parsonage, Employment. These appointments were announced to-day by the Public Service Commission.
