BYRD NOT PARTICIPATING DESIRE TO HAVE A REST tP.A.) WELLINGTON. March 15. Reports that Rear-Admiral Byrd intends to lead a scientific expedition to the Arctic, and possibly Greenland waters, within a month or two of his return to the United States were discounted by the explorer in an interview. He said he had no plans for sending ar.y expedition to the Arctic, and whether or not an expedition was sent, was a matter for the Navy Department in Washington.
