SATURDAY’S MATCH
J. BREINGAN’S SUCCESS
Ten shots each at SUOyds. and 600yds. comprised the programme for members of the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club on the Sponge Bay range on Saturday, in the weekly handicap match. At the opening range F. J. Jeune registered the only possible, and was closely followed by R. O. Bull with a score of 48. At the longer range J. Breingan and Bull were the most consistent. both recording 485., which enabled them to take first and second places respectively for the day, after the handicaps had’ been taken into account. Third place was taken by C. Lloyd, who beat H. Elliott on the Sisley count-back, both having scores of 97 gross. Details:— J. Breingan, 500yds. 45, 600yds. 48, handicap 4, total 97; R. O.
