11 MEN KILLED
SUPERFORTRESS CRASHES TROUBLE AT TAKE-OFF (9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK. Jan. 28. Eleven United States Army men were killed when a Superfortress crashed and burned shortly after leaving the field at Albuquerque. An eye-witness said one engine was causing trouble at the take-off. The aircraft fell into a ravine half a mile from the aerodrome. The United Press comments that the crash is strikingly similar to the recent airliner disasters at Croydon and Copenhagen.
