HOLIDAY WEEK
Y.M.C.A. ACTIVITIES On Monday morning a party of 20 boys and girls gathered at the Y.M.C.A, prior to a visit to the Kia Ora butter factory. Makaraka. For town children the visit was most interesting and instructive, for with the kindly explanations of the staff, much was learnt of the butter-making process. In the afternoon, the Waikanae Beach was the big attraction, and under the supervision of Mr. R. H. March, Y.M.C.A. secretary, swimming and games concluded an enjoyable day. Tuesday morning saw another happy throng cycling to the Waihirere Domain for a picnic. In the warm sunshine games, swimming and bush rambles filled in another pleasant day. Further activities are planned for each day this week, and parents can rest assured that a happy and safe day will be enjoyed by children left in the care of the Gisborne Y.M.C.A.
