VESSEL STRANDED
MISHAP OFF SINGAPORE SINGAPORE, Dec. 9. A tug has been dispatched to aid the merchant ship Sampep which grounded on the Salatnsinki coral reef off Bukom Island, a few miles south of Singapore. The Sampep was carrying about 2000 tons of Australian sugar for Singapore. The captain sent a radio message appealing fur immediate help.
