HIGHLY-BRED MARES (P.A.) AUCKLAND. July 20. Mr. F. W. Hughes, of the Kooba Stud, New South Wales, has booked four highly-bred mares to the Nearco horse Pietavia, who is standing at F. J. Savncre and Sons* Tuhoe Stud. Waimana, Bay of Plenty, for the comThey will leave Sydney on July 25. All four are youn*r mares by the recently deceased Hyperion horse Titan. This is the first occasion on which a leading Australian stud has sent four mares o! such ouality to he served by one stallion in New Zealand.
