ISSUE OF UNIFORMS NO CIVILIAN CLOTHES (P.A.) AUCKLAND,. April 13. The first step toward the dispatch to camp of the Auckland victoiy march contingent was taken this morning, when those selected reported to the Drill Hall for the issue of travelling warrants and uniforms. The northern military district dratt will leave by the 6 p.m. express tomorrow. , ~ „ ~ Members are showing consideiable interest and speculation on the followins' instruction issued to-day to ail ranks: “Civilian clothes will not be taken to Trentham. neither are civilian clothes to be taken overseas. This refers to all ranks.” Officers were informed that they are to provide uniforms at their own expense. No information has been received in Auckland as to the length of time the contingent will be absent from the Dominion, but it is thought that it will be not toss than four months.
