FELT AT RAROTONGA

MARINE DISTURBANCE (P.A.) WELLINGTON. April 6. According to a message received by the Union Steam Ship Company, a marine disturbance was felt at Rarotonga this week, stated the Minister of Island Territories, Mr. P. Fraser, yesterday. The cable message stated that the efTects of the disturbances were felt on Monday afternoon and early on Tuesday morning, New Zealand time. The sea receded totally from the harbour and then returned and covered the wharf completely every two minutes. No loss or damage other than scouring around .the wharf piles was suffered.
