Napier Breakwater Extension
The harbour breakwater at Napier is to be extended for a further 500£t. at a cost of £IOO,OOO, following a decision at a meeting of the Napier Harbour Board. The acting-chairman, Mr. P. F. Higgins, said that the first extension to the breakwater had effected a considerable improvement to the harbour and it could be assumed that another extension would be similarly beneficial. The trade of the port was increasing rapidly and it was essential that adequate provision bo made for the future.
