“BRINDIV” SAILS
JOINING THE J-FORCE (9 a.m.) LONDON, March 6. The Brindiv (British-IndianDivision), formed to join the Commonwealth's occupation force in Japan, sailed to-day for Hiroshima. When these 4500 arrive the number of Commonwealth troops in the prefecture will be about 25,000. The total Brindiv force will be 15,000. The commander is Major-General Tennant-Gowan. The Brindiv includes all categories of men and women who assisted to defeat Japan.
