THEFT OF SALE SEQUEL

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, March 6. A sequel to the theft of a safe said to have contained £SOOO from premises occupied by Chinese was the appearance in the Supreme Court yesterday morning for sentence of Patrick William Farrell, aged 27, Thomas Tua Gordon August, aged 36, and Kim and Kwolc Sing Tai. It was stated, in reply to a question by Mr. Justice Cornish, that the question of how much money was in the safe when it was taken had not yet been settled.

Each prisoner was sentenced to 12 months’ reformative detention.
