Army Hall Functions

The task of working up the floor of the Army Hall to a standard suitable for dancing, after the removal of the wool which has been stored there for over a year, has been undertaken by the Gisborne R.S.A. social committee. The committee has secured the use of the hall for two functions next week, the first being a public ball on Friday, March 15. and the second a children’s fancy-dress dance on the afternoon of Saturday, March 16; and it is proposed to make provision for large attendances on both occasions. The size of the hall and of the expected attendances will necessitate the use of augmented orchestras, and the committee also has to make a number of improvisations in order to use the hall’s facilities to the best advantage.
