U.S. TROOPS’ MORALITY

GENERAL’S DEFENCE CHARGES TO BE PROBED (10 a.m.) LONDON. March 5. General White said: “There is no regulation to stop a man from entertaining a girl overnight in his quarters, but if we find flagrant cases of unbecoming conduct we can take action.” The correspondent says that senior staff officers stated unofficially that there are “probably dozens of women spending nights within the compound.’’
