Last week 264 places in the Dominion attained their national savings quotas, three more than in the preceding week. All the principal centres were successful and in each of the 20 postal districts the full district quota was obtained, in 19 of the districts with the aid of surpluses recorded. At some places the full district quota for the current financial year lias been achieved, while in four of them every place has attained its individual quota for the year, the Greymouth district being the latest to achieve tins distinction.
