CHUNGKING RIOTING
FORCING AN ELECTION? (9 a.m.) CHUNGKING, Feb.. 10. A mass meeting of all political parties celebrating the success of the recent unity conference broke up in a bloody riot in which several people were seriously injured by blackjacks and stones. Kuornintang secret, service men started to .riot over the question of electing the chairman of the members’ secret service and are alleged to have attempted to force an election. Members of the Kuornintang then rushed the delegates, swinging blackjacks. The Democratic League. China's “third party,” is a coalition of the minority elements opposed to both the Kuornintang and the Communists.
