WOOL B Y AIR MAIL
GIFT SHAWL FOR GANDHI (9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 21. A special consignment of Australian wool is leaving Melbourne to-day by air mail to India to make a shawl for Mr. Gandhi.
The consignment comprises 25 pounds of scoured merino wool, specially selected by experts, and is a gift from the Australian Wool Board. The gift was suggested by Mr. R. G. Casey, Governor of Bengal. Another gift of 200 bales of scoured wool will be shipped to India lor distribution to village spinning industries in Bengal.
