PUNITIVE EXPEDITION

GREEK BANDIT BANDS TERRORISING THESSALY ATHENS, Jan. 15. The Greek Minister of Security, General Mercuris, has left Larissa to supervise military operations against 30 bands of armed bandits who are terrorising the Thessaly region. Eighteen of the bands are believed co bo remnants of the Etas, the Left Wing organisation. The bandits number 21D but are supported by many village partisans.
