SKYMASTER PLANE PACIFIC SURVEY FLIGHT (P A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 17. The Pan-American Airways Skymaster, which is making a survey flight of a new route between San Francisco and Auckland, is expected to land at Whenuapai from Tontouta airfield, New Caledonia, at 1 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, according to a cablegram sent from Suva by Mr. Harold Gatty. The Skymaster will carry 27 persons, including the crew, when it arrives at Auckland. The party will stay here three days before leaving for Australia.
