TOKYO WAR TRIALS
THE ALLIED COURT AUSTRALIAN NOMINEE SYDNEY, Jan. IG. The Australian Government has nominated Sir William Webb to the International Military Court at Tokyo, which will try major Japanese war criminals. In announcing this, Dr. H. V. Evatt, Minister for External Affairs, said the United States Government had asked Australia for a nomination. Mr. Justice Mansfield, of the Queensland Supreme Court, lias been nominated as assistant prosecutor.
