M.C.C. COMING TO N.Z. DOMINION TRIP IN 1949 SIX-YEAR PROGRAMME (50 a.m.) LONDON. Jan. 16. The full list of cricket tours decided on by the Imperial Cricket Association meeting is as follows: 1946 India to the United Kingdom; M.C.C. to Australia and New Zealand; West Indies to India. 1947 South Africa to the United Kingdom; M.C.C. to the West Indies; India to Australia. 1948. —Australia to the United Kingdom; M.C.C. to South Africa. 1949. —New Zealand to the United Kingdom: M.C.C. to India; South Africa to Australia. 1950. —West Indies to the United Kingdom; M.C.C. to Australia and New Zealand. 1951. —Australia to the United Kingdom. During the British winter seasons tests will be played between India and Australia and between India and the West Indies. It was decided, without prejudice to the conditions governing the final test in Australia in 1946-47, that the duration of the tests will be standardised at 30 hours' play, spread over six days. The M.C.C. will recommend to the English Board of Control that a similar experiment be carried out in Britain in 1948, with the playing time spread over five days.
